北海道保証牛乳株式会社は、昭和11年（1936年）に小樽市花園で「小樽保証牛乳株式会社」として、市乳の生産・販売を目的に設立しました。皆様方の長年にわたるご支援心より御礼を申し上げます。昭和44年（1969年）小樽市桂岡に統合市乳工場を新設し、同時に社名を現在の「北海道保証牛乳」に変更。販売エリアを北海道全域、東北、関東圏へと拡げました。 平成4年（1992年）に、森永乳業株式会社と資本提携をし、生産技術、品質レベルの向上を図り、今日に至っております。 当社は北海道の乳業会社として、大地にはぐくまれた良質な原料乳を使い「安全で、安心な、よりおいしい商品をお客様にお届けすること」を使命とし、「北海道発の新しい食文化を創造し、お客様の健康に貢献すること」をめざしてまいります。

ROYCE' was founded in Sapporo in 1983. Through acquiring the best techniques and enriching our experience, we are able to make chocolate of world-class quality in Hokkaido where the climate and the clean air are ideal for making confections. The fundamental principle of Royce' has been and will always be the painstaking sourcing of high quality ingredients. Because of increasing demand, over the course of time Royce' began taking telephone orders from customers from outside of Hokkaido. Customers' names and addresses were recorded by hand and their orders were sent one by one from our factory. That was the beginning of our mail order system. When we started to bake cookies at a small factory, the smell of fresh-baked sweets tempted and attracted the neighbors. A table was put in front of the factory and cookies were sold. That was the beginning of the direct management stores. Looking back, the history of Royce' has been based upon the support of many people. Today Royce' chocolate is enjoyed not only by the locals of Hokkaido, but by chocolate lovers from all across the world. We will continue to make world-class chocolate by observing our fundamental principle and pressing forward with our challenging creative spirit.

明治政府は、明治2年（1869）北海道の開拓と近代国家建設のために「開拓使」を設置。アメリカなどから招いた技術者の指導のもと新たな産業を数多く興していきました。農業と勧業の柱になったのが、ビール造り。原料の大麦・ホップの調達、低温で発酵・熟成させるビール造りには欠かせない氷が豊富に手に入る北海道は、ビール造りに必要な条件に恵まれていたことがその理由でした。明治9年（1876年）ドイツで醸造法を学んだ日本人技術者らも集まってサッポロビールの前身となる開拓使麦酒醸造所が誕生。日本人の手によって本格的なドイツタイプのビールが造られたことからこの地は日本のビール発祥の地とも言えそうです。 そこは現在サッポロファクトリーとなり「札幌開拓使麦酒醸造所」はその一角で当時の製法にならったビール造りを続けているブルワリーです。

Since its establishment, Sapporo Breweries has been storing up unique technical know-how and pursuing finer ingredients and quality. "Haruna Nijo" Barley, registered in 1981, has been described as "Miracle Barley," and is still used as the world's highest-grade mother plant after 20 years. In the 1970s, hopyards in the Czech Republic were in critical condition due to a virus, but Sapporo Breweries' virus-free hops eased the crisis. Our products rest on a variety of world-class technologies and expertise that have long accumulated throughout our history.
