Nuclear science is a part of science that exploits the use of natural and man-made radiation for the well-being of human life. It is a multi-discipline programme that needs a strong basic understanding of physics, chemistry, and biology as well as mathematics. Basically, nuclear science covers the changes and reactions that occur at nucleus level of the element. Students enrolled in this programme will learn the origin and sources of various natural and man-made radiations, effects on matter, environment and living organism, safety aspects as well as the law and regulations involving the use of technology.
