You want to publish a book, because you have something to tell the world. And I'm going to help you with that. I've been in your shoes, tearing my hair out. Because how do you do that? I'm here to help you with that. Publishing a book yourself. And I'd like to help you with that, affordably. Because my goodness, everything is so expensive! I get it. We'll figure it out. A little bit about me. I'm Kris. Kris Vanc is a pen name, but my real name is Kris. I studied Dutch Language and Culture at Leiden University and took courses on editing and publishing books. But when I started doing that myself, I ran into a lot of things. And those things? I want to help you with that. Personally? I'm a woman in my mid-thirties and I'm too lazy to adjust this text every year. I live with my two children in The Hague, still have a normal adult job and also publish my own books. I write smut with a very thick plot. Actually, I like the plot much better. I read everything, except sci-fi, unfortunately I can't get into that. I hate putting people down. I prefer to look at your qualities and make sure that we emphasize them in your work. I will never take over your work - you decide what you do and don't do. I give you an extra push. And I also show you which buttons to press, because that can be quite complicated sometimes. Furthermore? Well. I am a crime junkie with a fascination for serial killers. I like to do make-up and you can find me at fantasy gatherings. I like board games and crafts. And above all, I love words. Beautiful words and sentences make me happy. So do me a favor and let me read yours.
On Whit Monday, Monday 6 June 2022, the presentation of two unique route booklets for a special experience of Our Monastery Trail took place in the Abbey of Berne during a festive monastery market. The author has divided the more than 340 km long route along monasteries and through beautiful nature reserves into 60 short routes with space and time to enjoy the many sights and find the peace to stand still on this special path. A must for every hiker for whom reaching the end of the route as quickly as possible is not important, but being on the way.

20 years of historical research and publications. Historical research agency City and Business was founded by Matthijs Dicke. After studying social history at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Dicke first worked for several years as a freelance writer-editor-researcher for various publishers, magazines and consultancy firms. In 2003 he started City and Business, a spin-off of the then defunct Centre for Business History at Erasmus University, where Matthijs was project coordinator for two years. By working in a scientifically responsible manner and at the same time making historical research accessible to an often broad target group, the work of Dicke and City and Business was a hit with large and small, prominent companies, institutions, entrepreneurial families, foundations and other organisations. In twenty years, the agency published more than fifty publications: in book form and digitally. In addition to many business and entrepreneurial histories, City and Business also produced beautiful and valuable publications on the history of the city of Rotterdam.
