Focused on advocacy, knowledge-building and technical assistance projects in various areas of social development carried out at the country level and internationally, ICSW and our members are active in a wide range of fields within the general areas of social welfare. Fighting poverty, inequality and marginalization and building the resilience of the vulnerable groups to economic, social and environmental shocks is one of the key objectives of the organization.
Founded in 1990, New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) is a leading civil legal services organization combatting economic, racial, and social injustice by advocating for people experiencing poverty or in crisis. Our services include comprehensive, free civil legal services, financial empowerment, impact litigation, policy advocacy, and community partnerships. NYLAG exists because wealth should not determine who has access to justice. We aim to disrupt systemic racism by serving individuals and families whose legal and financial crises are often rooted in racial inequality. NYLAG goes to where the need is, providing services in more than 150 community sites (e.g. courts, hospitals, libraries) and on our Mobile Legal Help Center. NYLAG’s staff of 350 impacted the lives of 130,000 people last year.

The membership comprises several of the largest corporate groups with business operations all over India and abroad. We are an apex body for commerce, industry, friendship, and mutual understandings between India and Japan."
MQI has established eight centers in Japan: Nigoya, Ibarakai, Guma Ken, Shizaku Ken, Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba Ken and Toyama. Japan is a country where a large number of followers of Buddhism live. It is very important and advanced country of the world. The work of Minhaj-ul-Quran International had started much earlier in Japan. MQI owns two Islamic centres in Japan and Shaykh-ul-Islam has undertaken many visits of Japan starting from his first visit in February 1993. During his second tour in October 1994, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri made wide-ranging interactions with the followers of Buddhism and delivered many speeches. A good number of Pakistanis live in Japan who take keen interest in listening to the moral and spiritual lectures of Shaykh-ul-Islam. Only recently, the associates of Minhaj-ul-Quran International have bought land with the financial support of the organization for the construction of a mosque.
