Indonesian-Made NEO-1 Satellite The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), which previously developed the NEO-1 Satellite, is now entering the completion phase. This satellite is part of the national satellite constellation designed to observe the Earth.
The BRIN Satellite Technology Research Center targets the finalization and preparation for the launch of the NEO-1 Satellite between late 2024 or early 2025. The satellite will be launched at an altitude of around 500 kilometers from the Earth's surface.
The main mission of the NEO-1 Satellite is Earth observation using a line scanner optical camera and an infrared thermal camera. NEO-1 is expected to support remote sensing applications beneficial for agriculture, forestry, and maritime purposes.
